  • Implemented the proprietary embedded communication protocol in C#, including framing, CRC, acknowledgements, retries, timeouts and error handling
  • Automated firmware selection, bootloader updates, parameterization and verification from ERP-generated order data
  • Guided QA workflow prevents skipped steps and automatically creates unit-specific production records
  • Used on several production stations for thousands of devices per year

  • Developed the complete C# / WPF test application and automated measurement workflow from scratch
  • Integrated motorized sensor positioning, thermocouple measurement equipment and heating-controller communication
  • Automated spatial temperature-uniformity measurements that previously required manual measurement and Excel data entry
  • Configurable hose length, measurement spacing, equilibrium time and forward/reverse measurement sequences
  • Preserved compatibility with the existing Excel-based evaluation process through structured CSV export
  • In continuous use for approximately four years and estimated to have supported at least 300 tests

  • Took over an early PCB revision with design issues and redesigned almost every part of the board for the final production version
  • Configurable 4–20 mA / 0–10 V input and output interfaces for backward compatibility with legacy machines
  • Extended the proprietary UART protocol and developed PIC24 firmware for analog I/O, digital control and alarm handling
  • Designed the 4-layer PCB to fit the existing controller housing without mechanical redesign
  • Developed prototype, bring-up, production flashing adapter/software, test setup, documentation and ERP integration
  • Series product: more than 1,000 units produced and more than 500 sold
