Firmware Platform for Industrial Heating Controllers
C firmware for four series of industrial heating controllers — device functions, low-level interfaces, and production-ready integration.
- Developed and maintained firmware across four controller product series
- Implemented device functions and low-level (UART) hardware interfaces
- Focused on stability, testability, and production integration
- Technologies: C, dsPIC33, PIC24, UART
Context
Several industrial heating controller series required reliable firmware for operation in production and industrial environments. The devices had to be maintained, parameterized and tested across different product variants.
My Role
I worked on C firmware development for four different series of industrial heating controllers. My contribution included implementing and maintaining device functions, working with low-level interfaces and supporting production-oriented integration.
Technical Challenge
The challenge was not one isolated feature, but the variety of product variants: different controller families, product-specific requirements and the need to bring firmware reliably into serial devices.
Solution
The firmware was further developed so that functions and interfaces remained usable and maintainable across different controller platforms. Stability, testability and integration into existing production workflows were central priorities.
Impact
The work supported a stable firmware base for multiple industrial product series and helped connect development requirements with production needs.
